The sky was just gorgeous evening before last.
The camera only hints at it.
I'm thinking there is probably a poem out there
somewhere for skies like these.
I thought maybe "She Walks in Beauty Like the Night"
but these are not cloudless climes.
Would love suggestions!

Beautiful skies. Our skies have been very pretty of late also. I wish they would rain...we need it.
ReplyDeleteWe were lucky enough to get a good deal of rain this week. I gather most of the US is in a heat wave, but it's been unusually cool this summer in Texas (and by that I mean it's been ONLY in the 90s most of the summer, dipping even into the 80s occassionally...not the usual tripple digits.
DeleteI don't have a poem at hand but I love your skies.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteLove these dark skies! Must be confusing to mingle in both cultures. I lived in TX before, and last 2 decades in CA, but both are sooo different...
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't get to "mingle" too much. Wish I could go out to California more often but can't afford to as much as I'd like. I've gotten used to Texas now but it sure was a culture shock at first.
DeleteGlad you found your way here.
Great cloud shots... love the colors!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteGorgeous colors in the sky!
ReplyDeleteYeah, they were just so deep and lovely that night.
DeleteI love dramatic skies like that...
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteYour camera did a fine job. What a beautiful sky!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteYour skies here are so dark and moody at sunset. Fun to photograph.
ReplyDeleteThey certainly were!
DeleteBeautiful photos. I too try to capture the sunrise over the lake and the sunset West. It seems every morning and night here at the lake is special. Must be the moisture in the air along the shores of Lake Michigan. My garden photos often try to capture that special sky as you did in your posting today. Thanks JC
