The entire summer here in Texas has been in the triple digits (just about). If I were in charge of schools, summer for schools in Texas would be from the 2nd week of April through the first week of July (to include independence day). That would give us more time to enjoy the cool months, and still have a little summer overlap with other states.
So here's my questions...
- How's the weather been this summer where you are?
- If you could choose when summer vacation would be (any time...wouldn't even have to be 3 months in a row...could be a month here and there), would you change the dates of summer?

Our summer has been very mild so far. Normally this time of the year we are having triple digit temps but so far we have barely reached 90 for more than a day or two.
ReplyDeleteFor schools it would be nice to have a little cooler weather for vacations, your idea is good.
It's moderately hot and humid. I don't like the heat of summer. I much prefer milder temps in spring and late fall. I'd say, if I could choose summer to not get any warmer than the upper 70s to low 80s, then I'd be happy as a lark. =D

Surprised to have such a cold summer in California this year. It didn't get warm until July! I am looking forward to a warm August, though it cools down a lot at night.

It's been hotter than normal here this summer too - it started back in May, which is really odd for us, and doesn't seem to be planning to let up any time soon. I would love it if there was maybe a month of no school during the fall or winter when we could go do something and not wilt in the heat! :)
