Aloha Friday - Sleep

Hello!  I'm participating in Aloha Friday, where I ask a simple question for you to answer in the comments (if you want to).

Every now and then I have trouble sleeping.  Not for any reason I can pin-point.  Not for caffeine or worry or my husband's snooring...none of that.  Usually my mind is just full...won't shut down and be quiet.  Night before last was like that.  I couldn't sleep and couldn't sleep and finally it was  5:00 in the morning and I just gave up because the alarm would be going off in a couple hours anyways.

So, my question this week is...
Do you ever have trouble sleeping, for no particular reason?

  1. I guess I am very lucky because I never have trouble sleeping. I usually fall asleep within minutes of hitting the pillow. And, I usually stay asleep the entire night. I know a lot of people struggle with being able to fall asleep; that would be hard to deal with for me.

  2. Yep, my mind gets like that too. And it is usually followed by a day the kids don't want to nap. ;)

  3. Insomnia sucks! This whole week I've had trouble sleeping. I have a cold so I'll go to sleep then wake a few hours later then can't get back to sleep. Last night we had a nasty storm overnight with 40-50 mph winds. Another sleepless night, ugh! I'm hoping to catch a few ZZZs today.

  4. Yes - I've been off schedule for months now. I barely get 5 hours of sleep a day.

  5. Absolutely! I am not caffeine sensitive so it is never a coffee/tea issue! The last time this happened I just stayed up and did a ton of housework and projects....I was mowing the yard as soon as the neighbors went off to work! Tylenol PM prevented this from happening the next night! Plus I was exhausted!!

  6. I usually take an antihistamine before I go to bed. That helps me sleep.

    Have a great day!
