Aloha, its a Texas Earthquake!

Any Texifornians feeling more at home?  I heard somewhere in South Texas the earth decided to shake!  Earthquakes in Texas...very Texifornian.  But earthquakes are one thing I'd be happy to let stay in California, thank you very much.  Hope you all are well and not too shaken up.  I'd love to hear your stories.  Did you feel it?  Was it actually bad, or just bad if you're from Texas and never felt one before?

(That will be my Aloha Friday question today...but, if you're not from Texas, tell me...have you ever felt an earthquake?)

  1. Yes, I'm from Eastern Canada where earthquakes are very rare so I've not experienced one here. However, my hubby and I went to New Zealand and the second night we were there, we woke up at around 3:00 am to the room shaking and the light over the bed swinging back and forth. Scared the crap out of me. I didn't know whether to stand in a doorway or jump in the tub. I found out later, the locals are trained to lay on the floor beside their beds. Very strange and scarey at the same time.

  5. I live in NY and actually have felt several earthquakes here. The last one that went up the east coast and I felt my entire car rock. I had just picked the car up from service and thought there was something wrong with it.

  6. I've felt two earthquakes - once when I was still living in Seattle, and recently here in PA (from an earthquake that was in VA...) :)
