Aloha Friday/2 Question Thursday

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday and Two Question Thursday! Happy New Year if you are celebrating Chinese New Year! Every Friday (well, ok, almost every Friday) I ask a simple question--nothing that requires a lengthy response.

Today the ground is covered in snow...here in central Texas! I mean, good, snowman making snow ball fighting snow...not just a dusting (I'd have pictures but I can't find my camera cord).
  1. So, do you have snow where you are right now? (Oh, and where is that?)
  2. Do you celebrate Chinese New Year?  If so, tell me a little bit about what you like best about it, or how you are/were celebrating it this year?

Please leave your answer in a comment below.  And, if you have a blog and would like to post your own question you can leave your link at An Island Life.

  2. YES!!! About 5 to 6 inches of SKI snow....dry powder stuff heavenly runs are made of! (This should have landed in Colorado....totally wasted as far as skiing goes in Texas!)

  4. No snow right now, but we did have snow around Christmas... we're in Las Vegas! We get snow almost every year, at least for a day or so. And nope we don't celebrate Chinese new year.

  5. We did get a little snow here in some areas but it was mostly sleet and ice. Schools and road closed. I'm in Louisiana.

I don't celebrate the Chinese New Year. I don't know enough about it.

    Stay warms!

I know very little about Chinese new years but my dear friend, Chan Lee Peng is celebrating it.

  7. 1) We don't have snow in California, maybe once in a blue moon and in the mountains. We had hail last year.
2)I don't celebrate the Luna New Year, I should.

  8. We finally got about 8-inches of snow week-before-last (after having been promised boatloads for several weeks, only to have to bypass us completely). It's been so cold, so there's still snow on the ground, though the freezing rain we had this past week sort of mucked it up a bit. :)
