Aloha Friday

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday! Every Friday (well, ok, almost every Friday) I ask a simple question--nothing that requires a lengthy response.

This week I've been having some fun tracking down songs related to Texas and California. I'm putting together a list here. So my question for you today is...
Do you know of any California or Texas songs? What's your fave (or a few of your faves)?

Please leave your answer in a comment below.  And, if you have a blog and would like to post your own question you can leave your link at An Island Life.

  1. Well the first that come to mind are Hotel California by the Eagles (the first concert I ever saw!!) & Yellow Rose of Texas!

  2. True. I only know of Hotel California :)

  3. wow, this is embarrassing, but I am drawing a blank. There is that country song that says "when I die, just let me go to Texas", and the one with "all my exes live in Texas". Does the Davy Crockett song count as a Texas song? As a born prune-picker, hailing from a line of Texans going back to the Republic, I should do better than this! Thanks for stopping by my blog.

  4. Heh, the only two songs that come to mind are "All My Exes Live in Texas" and "Hotel California". :)

  5. I love California by Phantom Planet.

  6. The Beach boys have some.
